Creating Memories In Your Shed
Family is something we should all celebrate.
Families are important to all of the team here at Trusty Sheds.
For me, I know how busy our lives get these days and how making time with the family is a challenge but also a priority.
I’ve been lucky enough to have grown up surrounded by family.
Some of my favourite memories are from my childhood playing in our various sheds and garages. One thing I know for sure is that lasting memories aren’t created playing computer games.
Simple times, just hanging out with Dad in the shed.
Working and learning stuff I’ve never forgotten.
Welding, cutting and grinding steel, fixing what’s broken, making other stuff work better. We did it together, him, my brother and me. Just us. It has also helped create a bond between my brother and me that has lasted over 50 years.
My Dad knew everything, so it seemed, about everything. I learnt so much from him.
It took me years to learn as much almost as he knew and I still do a lot of things the way he taught me. Most of what I know, I reckon.
And these are the same things that I enjoy teaching my kids.
Some of the best memories we have made have been in our shed.
Whilst our shed is a lot different to Dads farm shed, I still see how I do a lot of things just like him.
My shed is set up better than his, with the tool marks on the wall, the benches at different heights for what you’re working on and all the oil stain in the middle that I don’t even try to get out.
But I’ve got to tell you, mine’s a bit of a man cave. It has a chairs, stereo, BBQ and a bar. Standard installations in all sheds and garages in my opinion.
So, if you’re like me and want to have the opportunity to teach your kids some skills and create the memories of a lifetime, give Trusty Sheds a call on 1300 87 87 89 today. That’s 1300TRUSTY.
